Older houses near base rarely have one age. The kitchen might be from a renovation ten years ago, the bathroom from twenty years before that, and the wiring and supply lines from whenever the house went up — plus whatever somebody added along the way to make a laundry hookup or a window unit work.

That is why we do plumbing and electrical as part of the remodel instead of handing it to a second contractor.
